For the first time ever, MLB the Show 22 will launch on all three major console manufacturers’ systems. That means players of the game might want to move around their saves if they have more than one console in their home. That’s where multi-system features like cross-saves and cross-progression come into play. As of right now, it looks like these features will work as you might expect them to. Simply save your progress on one console, then switch over to another, and like magic, your progress will carry over. You can also take part in online co-op with friends across all platforms. There is some fine print running throughout the trailer. Fortunately, it’s nothing outside of the norm for moving data around to different consoles. The text reads: The requirements are nothing unheard of and work exactly the same as how other games with cross-progression work like Fortnite and Rocket League. The only question left is how this feature will handle the premium currency in MLB The Show 22. Stubs in the current version of the game are not able to be transferred across accounts. There’s no reason to believe this will change since premium currencies not moving between platforms is the norm. You can check out the official cross-save, cross-progression, and cross-play trailer for MLB The Show 22 down below. You can pre-order the game right now or pick it up when it launches on Apr. 5 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, or Nintendo Switch.
