How to Get Smooth Stone In Minecraft
To create smooth stone in Minecraft, you will need a furnace, crafting table, and some cobblestone and coal to work with. Place the cobblestone blocks in the furnace, using the coal to fuel the fire. After a short period of time, a stone block will be created. When you have transformed all the cobblestone you want to change, go ahead and put the newly-made stone blocks back into the furnace. Using coal again, the furnace will turn the stone blocks into smooth stone blocks. It’s really that simple! The texture of the block is now much sleeker, and a lighter grey than the stone you started with. Smooth stone is only a variant of the stone block, so it does not have any additional abilities or features, but the extra effort still goes a long way visually. You can now completely redesign your builds and go for a more urban, city feel. It remains tough and non-flammable, so it is still great for defending your land.
Where to Find Smooth Stone
Smooth Stone can also be generated inside some houses in the plains, savanna and snowy plains villages in the Butcher’s house. It can be found as both Smooth Stone slabs and blocks in here.
What Is Smooth Stone Used For?
Smooth Stone is required in order to create a Blast Furnace in Minecraft. You’ll need three Smooth Stone, alongside five Iron Ingots and a regular Furnace in order to create a Blast Furnace. A Smooth Stone Slab also required three Smooth Stone blocks to create. For every three blocks, you’ll get six Smooth Stone Slabs.
